July 31st: Cameron gave me that
road bike a couple of weeks ago. He commuted on it for twenty
years and then totaled it when a car turned right without seeing
him. It looks good, but the metal is too bent to be trusted. Not
only that, but the front wheel is on crooked now. I figured sooner
or later somebody is going to need a ghost bike, and this is a
good candidate. Plus, it has many parts I want to use to upgrade
my other bikes. Since getting it, I've moved the rack to my road
bike and the front wheel to my beater bike. Both of those bikes
are much better for the new parts. Thank you Cameron!
August 5th: I picked up that chair
at the Red Rock. It was heavy. I sat in it for a few minutes.
There was a sign on the one next to it that said "FREE". I asked
the guy if I could take it. He said "Please. We want them gone." I
walked it about ten feet down the sidewalk. It was too heavy to
carry further. I sat on it. The thing was still comfortable. I
picked it up and carried it across the street. I adjusted my grip
and carried it past the Eagles Nest. I adjusted my grip and
carried it down to the empty store front. I parked there and
rested for a few minutes. To make a long story short, after many
little treks like that one I got the thing home. Thank you to the
Indian guy that got me the last 100 yards! It adds a comfortable
place to sit and read for a little while to my living room. Thank
you Red Rock Coffee House!
