I was browsing the crowd at SubZero
and I found this T shirt vendor selling these shirts. I asked what
the 23 on the "GREEN" shirt was about. He explained that 23 on the
Golden State Warriors is a guy named Green. Since they are still
alive in the Basketball Playoffs I got the shirt. I told the guy
that "The 23rd State in the USA is Maine. The postal abbreviation
for Maine is ME. I like to tell people that "The green revolution
begins with ME!" " He said that was profound.
June 5, 2015: After figuring out
that I didn't want to get my kitchen redone just to get a new
fridge I started looking for another way to fix it. I figured that
since the problem was that it was over working, maybe I could
solve the problem with on/off cycling via a timer. I got this one
and a thermometer for the freezer. For weeks I was adjusting the
duty cycle. When I'd get something out of the freezer I'd check
the temp. I find the thermal time constant is long enough that it
takes a few days to settle at the new temp after I change it. Part
of the trick is to not adjust it too often. Now the freezer is
freezing in the recommended range and the fridge is chilling in
the recommended range. I'm happy with this solution to the
problem!
This is the time
of year when I see couples everywhere I go.
Before going to bike party I spent some time at the peace vigil
at the corner of San Fernando and 4th in front of the Martin
Luther King Jr. Library. Liane was proud that she'd managed to
find Lennox Sweeny's Quagmire Accomplished sign. One of the
other activists there had since cleaned it up, and this vigil
was its first public showing in many years.
