That squash was given to me by Linda Piera-Avila at the Green Party of California meeting in Los Angeles, December 2011.

10/10/2011: This looks like the last big rush of tomato ripenings on my front porch. Each of those tomatoes is almost big enough to spice up salad for one. It hasn't been a good year for tomatoes on my porch. I think the tree has grown back to cover my sunlight again. This time I'm contemplating another bout of tree surgery for that! On the other hand, the thyme bush is finally big enough to tolerate pruning! That works on so many levels while it makes my meals delicious.

My camera dissappeared while I was having a good time near the end of November's bike party. I'm tempted to say it was stolen. Whatever, that was the second camera I've lost this year. Since then I've been given two cameras by people that like my pictures. Thank you Jared and Rosalie!

I gave a "currency speculator" speech to the Green Party of California in early December. Check it out by clicking here.

I made that graphic about the national debt because I've been putting something up here to mark every time it crosses another Trillion dollar mark for a while. If my camera hadn't dissappeared I'd have taken a picture of the box on the front page of the paper. The numbers are right, even though the image is clunky.
