Sunday March 30th was a busy day for me. I began it by putting tickets like the ones on the left above under the windshields of SUVs in the parking lots of the churches near my friend Shiloh's home. That afternoon I planted this tomato in the sunniest place near my doorway. It is my first effort at growing food of my own. The plant only cost $1.50, but by the time I had a pot, soil, and fertilizer the project had absorbed $30. She's going to have to pump out a lot of tomatoes to pay for herself.
