The guy holding the blue balloon with the peace sign on it has been renamed Shrub.

On Tuesday March 18th, the Mountain View City Council spent an hour talking about War with Iraq. No decision was made, although each of the Council Members said something. They spent half of that hour listening to input from Mountain View citizens like myself. I came away from the experience feeling like Mountain View is an OK place. 

I spent the afternoon of Sunday February 9th putting these tags (see above) into the pockets of garments at Great Mall that were made in places like India, Turkey, Indonesia, and China. The guy that organized the trip explained to us that the project doesn't get written up in the paper because the retailers whose garments we targeted are major advertisers there. The only people that got informed by our efforts were the customers that shopped retail where we had been.
