The first person I chatted with was Peter Myers, who was telling everybody that he is going to run for Congress in the 15th District next year. He just came back from service abroad with the Peace Corps. He said he is running because he thinks all that money being wasted on the Iraq war would be better spent here in the USA.

The first Presidential Candidate spokespeople to show up were these two women from the Elaine Brown campaign. They were handing out their Candidate's fliers. Click the California Manager's picture to see the picture I took of mine.

Last time I'd talked to Sanda, Brian had been in a motorcycle accident and was in a hospital in bad shape. It was good to see him at the party. He said he still has some numbness, and his clavicle has bumps in it that weren't there before. Other than that he is fine, and back in the saddle.

Kaysha is becoming a leading force in the Santa Clara County Green Party. It was fun to take this picture of her with her boyfriend. The party was a bunch of people talking at that point.

After a while Head Roc showed up. He explained that Dr. Jared Ball had a family emergency, and had to go back to DC. However, he was here to represent the campaign.

The guy likes having his picture taken with others.

I was talking to a pair of regulars at the bar, and nobody introduced the speaking section of the meeting. Suddenly I realized that everyone was gathered around Head Roc and his laptop. I went over and found out that he had started sharing Dr. Ball's slide show. Click his picture to see what I got from it.

Then Elaine Brown's campaigner talked a bit about her candidate. I think she mostly highlighted points on the flier. She also mentioned that the campaign is all about helping develop the Green Party Primary as a forum to get ideas out. Click her picture to see the flier.

Then Head Roc gave out shirts and CDs to the generous souls that contributed to the campaign. That makes the Jared Ball for President the first '08 Campaign to give me a shirt! The back says "HIP-HOP FOR PRESIDENT".
