This is what I call a busload of change.

I was listening to KQED's Forum on the way to Davis on 6/27/2001, when S. David Freeman mentioned all the money that Bush's buddies in Texas are sucking out of California. The host asked him if he was hearing the "Giant Sucking Sound" that Ross Perot used to talk about. Freeman replied that he couldn't even hear it, he just knows it is happening. Listening to that, I was reminded how widely shared the problem of dealing with abstract issues is.
