Because of all the time I spent doing other things, I never got near The Man when he was upright with a camera. As you can see, The Man was 50 feet tall. This picture was taken about ten hours before all the fireworks that had just been wrapped in plastic burned. The fire was quite spectacular. It served as a great centerpiece for the week.

Right after the man fell into a heap of burning stuff, a guy with a big flame thrower came by and held it under this heart. It turned out that the thing was full of very flammable stuff. After a while the top half glowed red, and flames shot out of the arteries like blood. Somebody must have a lot of experience with flaming sculpture to get such a striking sight to happen right on cue.
