This screen is a
great privacy protection device. Mom kept it in the living room. We
used it as a room divider every time we needed something like that.
When I was visiting sometimes I slept behind it. Behind the thing is a
great place to hide piles of junk when they need to be hidden quickly.
The tapestry prints of the woman
(women?) going through the changes of the calendar bear repeated
viewing quite well. My mom found them at a flea market in Geneva
sometime in the late '60s. Later she had them built into the screen by
some craftsman she found in the phone book or wherever. Looking at the
thing brings back memories for me.
