This table was the most popular one on the plaza outside the Palo Alto City Hall during Earth Day lunch time.
Trees cool in the summer and beautify all year long.
The guy at the biodiesel table was handing out these fliers that explained that any diesel engine can run on biodiesel just by putting the stuff in the gas tank, no mondifications required. There are a couple of gas stations that sell it retail, including one at 10th and Hedding in San Jose, where it was $2.74 recently (almost a third more than the petrochemical version).
The woman in the PEACE hat was very proud of the fact that San Francisquito creek is about the only pristine native habitat left in our general area where steelhead still spawn in significant numbers. I was happy to tell her that the biggest barrier to steelhead using Stevens Creek had been taken down last summer, and they should be going through Mountain View to soon.
In adition to the above there was also a Green Party table where I sat, and a couple of religious themed tables.
