I think Carol Wolman M.D. was the only Candidate for Partisan Office that was there. She's running as a non-partisan write in candidate.  The points she raises on her flier are good ones. (Click her picture to see the one she gave me.) I find myself wishing her the best of luck in her pursuit of votes.

There was a large meadow between the shade under the redwoods and the stage. It was much too hot for most people to spend any time there. This woman decided to cartwheel across it, a surprising and beautiful athletic feat. She must have gone thirty or forty yards before getting too dizzy to continue. I was grateful for the opportunity to capture these pictures.

The guy in the green organic shirt was a quiet bystander in a shade puddle to the right of the stage. He told me that he had just toured the western states of the USA in a machine running on biodiesel. His message was "it can be done."
