The tomato and the corn on your left were eaten on the afternoon of Sunday, September 22, 2002 in Mountain View, California. At the time, the corn had been in my possession no more than an hour (including cooking time). A woman at the farmers market showed me all the catapillars growing in its buddies, so I decided not to give them any more time to rip me off than I could help. I put them in the cooker before I brought the rest of it into the house. The cans in the background had been there a while. Why open them when the fresh stuff is much better? Soon enough, it will be time for that. Right now, the pictures just remind me to get and eat the fresh stuff.
