I think the Labor Party is more of a pressure group within the Democratic Party than a real Political Party. As long as I can remember hearing about them, they have been threatening to become a political party if the Democrats don't toe the line on labor issues. I don't know about other states, but they don't have ballot status in California.
When Sandy Perry saw that he replied "The Labor Party is an independent organization, not affiliated with the Democratic Party. Its strategy is to build strength through issues campaigns prior to running candidates - such as Just Health Care, a proposal for universal single payer health care similar to the Federal Conyers Bill."
The rightmost guy above told me about getting a ticket for $121 for dancing in the streets in support of Universal Health Care.
