It seemed like everywhere you looked there were more flowers. You had to look down to see them, because many were quite small, but once you noticed them they were a delight to see.
We had to round a couple more turns from here to be able to see the waterfall, but this was the best view of the valley I saw.

had learned that nugget from a boyfriend who had been a naturalist.
I doubt that's the Bil Maher I knew in my video game days. Times I saw it, he spelled his name with only one "L".
At this point we had hiked all the way around the mountain to the ocean side.
