It wasn't long after I left the Palo Alto train station that I saw this airplane circling above, and I knew I was in the right place.

   

The event started not more than a hundred yards into San Mateo County.

     

     

     

        

     

     

It was hard to really talk to anybody because there were all these organizers yelling slogans and chants into microphones around. We also had to keep moving, so we weren't blocking the sidewalks. Menlo Park being one of those places with narrow sidewalks, that made it a challenge to connect with people.

  

  

That Republican told me he had spent $130 on his sign.

     

I think this was the only hat with a built in solar powered sound system I saw at the event.

     

  

  

        

     

I like how this guys license plate matches his bumper sticker. It shows he wants to keep Lake Tahoe blue.
