San Jose's Peace & Justice Center
organized a postcard campaign. The idea was to get people to put what
they would rather see the government put money into instead of war
machinery and aid to Israel. The plan was to make a big show of
delivering them, with signs and honking cars and as much media as
possible. I got there just as they were getting ready to march into the
Congresswoman's office. That fat envelope in Smriti's hand holds the
collected cards.
They weren't in there long. After they
came out I took some pictures to show the general demands.
