Missed the train I should have been on. Got there when the program was already under way.



The problem is that bicyclists are dying in traffic accidents. We were gathered to remember the fallen. This speaker was introducing a proclimation the City of San Jose had put out to mark the event.

     

Kyle LeBlanc was one of them. He'd been a kid on the way home from school that day. His parent's can't forget him.

Diane read this poem to set the mood for the ride.







This fatality was so recent the spontaneous memorial was still fresh.

     

We took turns placing roses and honoring the fallen.



Not long after that we reached a park where some time was spent hanging out before people went their different ways.
