The guy selling those churros wanted $2
apiece for them. I got one. It was delicious. Not too sweet the way a
donut would have been.
I think the speaker was talking about
losing a loved one to police brutality.
That guy with the bag of lettuce was
giving anybody that wanted some a leaf or two. I had a bit. It
tasted like romaine. Nutritionally it was utterly underwhelming.
I would almost call it comically legal though.
I asked what the names around Oscar
Grant were there for, and she explained they had all been killed by
cops. Then the woman hanging with her started listing them off: "this
one got tazed to death, that one was shot, that one was beat to
death..."
