In his talk Dave explained that MSF likes to be independent of all sides, but in Iraq the lines between them and the invaders had been blurred by forces beyond their control. This read is the way the souvenir booklet put it. At the end of the event I had to walk past a picture of this Iraqi with scar tissue instead of bandages. There was also a heart wrenching story about the guy life since a bomb went off near him in 2006.
