Nice quilt! Ummmm.... how do
we know our GOD ideas are the same?
More union people than I usually see
in a crowd like this one. Not the unions I usually see either.
She was asking everybody to take out
their phones and text TRADE to 69866. Do it now!
The lady from the EFF said that the
TPP is bad for freedom of speech on the internet.
Because I believe in environmental
justice I urge everybody to be a law abiding citizen at bike
party. I figure that's a high inertia idea that we all have a
shared stake in paying forward to the next batch of good citizens,
whomever that turns out to be.
Then we started marching from the
plaza near Pelosi's office to the plaza outside Feinsteins office.
We were making plenty of noise. The bullhorn cackles out "WHAT DO
WE WANT?" The crowd chants "fair trade!" The voice overloads on
the loud notes "WHEN DO WE WANT IT?" The chorus chants "now!" We
go around the loop a few times before they start with a different
one that was as easy to learn.
Many brandished toilet paper,
sending a signal that a key part of flushing the TPP is wiping our
asses.
The fine print reads "NO
FAST-TRACKING TRADE DEALS MADE IN SECRET".
Ever hear the Disposable Heroes of
HipHopracy do that song with "RAISE THE DOUBLE STANDARD!" in that
"I'm so pissed off!" voice?
The woman in the red scarf and black
coat explained to me that she considered her button completely non
partisan. I'd hope we all want peace! Imagine it...
The power you're drawing from a
(battery or plug) is part of the power we're sharing. Thank you
for that. Notice how corporations seem to always be wanting you to
consume more power? I say just use less... So many ways to get
something out of that!
Barry has figured out that if he
gets 20,000 votes in June he will beat the Republican and be the
other candidate with Pelosi in November. Please help him in this
quest by signing his ballot access petition if you live in his
(Pelosi's) district.
About then critical mass rolled by
and I joined them. Lucky for me they decided to go up Market St.
past Feinstein's office where the march had ended up.
It was a nice evening of riding with
a few hundred of my favorite people. I remember at one point
discussing with another guy the idea that we hope everybody in
California agrees that using less water is okay.
Riding south on the train at the end
of the evening I noticed that the new GMC Denali looks a lot more
like a sensible bicycle than the previous generation of GMC Denali
I'd seen had. It's okay. Bicycles don't use water.
