When I got there the parade had already started. This was the first
float I saw going by.
It was followed by a long series of colorful junior sports teams.
Meanwhile, those of us who were going to follow them down the street
waited our turn.
It seemed like these guys were followed by a bunch of other teams with
the same names as the MLB ones everybody is familiar with. I didn't
hang around to take their pictures because I had to find the MVVP and
take my spot with them.
It wasn't long after this picture of the Mountain View Voices for Peace
was taken that it was our turn to head out.
All along the parade route people made encouraging noises and signs as
we went by. It made me feel good about being their neighbor.
Assemblywoman Lieber had nice things to say about what we were doing.
That's her with Lenny on the left.
There was a picnik in the park afterwards. Among the attractions were
dragons and crocodiles that were more than happy to have their pictures
taken.
