All of the states shown above had primary elections on June 5th, but only in California's 18th Congressional District could voters vote for Carol Brouillet. I was one of those, and so were the most of the people that came to her election night party, which I hosted in my clubhouse...

The food was great. Lots of us had working on the campaign stories to share. The seats were comfortable.

Two bikes parked here during the party, but I only took a picture of the first one to arrive.

After this picture was taken I had to run around doing things like trying to track down the password for the WiFi and find more chairs. Don't remember another party where I went looking for chairs. We needed them though.

I vividly remember coming back from an errand to find out they were half way through going around the room getting people to say a few words. I listened to a bunch of people that were frosted under the collar about the way Washington is going. When it was my turn I said that I enjoy hosting parties for the Green Party here, partly as a way to preserve my "right to party!" I felt like it was awesome that they were all here.

At some point it became clear that Carol didn't make the top two cut. It was going to be Dave Chapman vs. the Incumbent. People started to trickle out.

Maybe there were most of a dozen of us left when Dave Chapman dropped by. He wanted to talk politics, and we were up for that to. We were there long past when Jonathan wanted to go home, but he stayed like a trooper. Seems like the topic of endorsing Chapman came up, but nothing got resolved. We just had a nice chat.

When all was said and done, the incumbent won again. The fall runoff will be Dave Chapman Vs. the incumbent, but I don't feel like there's much drama about who will win that. I'd love to be surprised though...
