That's the festivus pole growing amid the christmas cheer on my
stereo in a previous year.
Come on down! I'm celebrating being a gardener for twelve years. I'm celebrating Bike Party. I'm
celebrating the local community, and whatever else comes to
the party to. Happy Festivus! I'll have a "plain aluminum pole
made from beer cans" as you can see. Probably I'll bring my
camera and take your picture at least once during the evening.
Probably we'll have access to a pool table that works (bring a
pool que or you'll have to use a bent one), and maybe ping pong, but the main event
is talking to all the other people who show up in a warm and
comfortable room.
Friday Night! December 26th! Come on down! Happy Holidays!....
When: anytime between 7 PM and 10 PM, Friday December 26th, 2025.
We'll probably be there beyond 11ish, but likely the participation will be thin at the early end.
Where: the clubhouse at 505 Cypress Point Drive in Mountain View.
Bring: whatever you want. I'm going to provide at least a case of beer, some
wine, home grown and cooked collard greens, black eyed peas, and a
bit of protein. Also crackers and cheese and some nibble vegetables. Beyond
that, please bring anything you really want to have. Finger food
is vastly preferred to stuff that requires utensils. There
is a ping pong table, but the main event
is chatting with the many different people I'm hoping to see
there in a warm and friendly place.
A lot of people tend to forget that I started this looking for a new way to do parties. Please bring a cup you're willing to use all evening and take home with you afterwards. If there is any possibility it can be confused with someone elses, please put your name on it. I've done that to the above one to illustrate the point.
The red pointer on the map is
almost a centimeter to the left of where it should be on my
display.
The junction of 85 and 101 in
Mountain View is easy to find on almost any regional map.
Directions from the CalTrain/VTA station:
Go north along the tracks, past the train station building to Castro Street. Turn right and cross Central Expressway, where the road becomes Moffett Blvd. Walk to the second
light, which is Cypress Point Drive, maybe a quarter of a mile. Go right on Cypress Point Dr. Just past the third driveway on the right is the clubhouse. For your convenience the relevant schedules for after party transit are copied below.
If you come by bicycle there will be plenty of bike parking on the back porch. I even have enough hanging rack space for at least fifteen bikes without kickstands, which has been plenty in the past.
Directions from 101: Take Moffett Blvd. Exit towards downtown Mountain View.
Go left at the light for Cypress Point Drive. The clubhouse is about half way to the end of the street on the right, with a big sign that says "505 Cypress Point" outside it.

Questions: please email [tnharter (circle a) aceweb (period) com] me for more information. I plan to show up in a nice T-shirt, a coat for the outdoor chill, and jeans.
