For some reason I forgot to bring my camera to Festivus this year. I compensated by getting people to post pictures to the event when there was something noteworthy. First was this picture of the spread posted by Kinkaid the first time the table started to look full.

Matt gave me some pictures from the time we were schmoozing at the beginning.

Then it was time for the airing of the grievances. Started things off by telling everybody "If there is something you want to say to everybody, now is the time!" Then I started things off.

One thing that's been bothering me lately is the difference between walking and biking. It's a blessing and a curse. When you walk every step is an adventure for your foot. Maybe the ground is a little different, maybe your stride was a little different or whatever. When you bike every pedal stroke is the exact same experience as the one before and the one after. The human body isn't designed to do the same thing endlessly, so the overworked muscles give out. I've been dealing with that lately and it bums me out.

Stephanie was having trouble getting the medical system to give her the care she needs as a post menopausal woman. Now "I've finally gotten mine but I'm fighting for my friends to get theirs too."

Gatadero was happy to be sharing the evening with the rest of us.

Still working on the grievances. Please check back later for updated content in this area.

Amy wanted to remind the guys out there that "No means NO!" Her grievance is that "There's too much shit in the bike lane."

Justin is bothered by all the stuff in the bike lanes that makes it harder to use them.

Matt feels that perscription drug prices are too high. He came back later and mentioned absent friends like Renee, Patty, and Virginia who used to be the life of the party but now are gone.

Barry unleashed an awesomely poetic rap. Hoping to get a link to the text or another rendition on you tube or something like that.

Diego doesn't like the meanness of the current politics. His message was "Fuck ICE!"

Leo is frosted because it seems like every year it gets harder to be a small businessman around here.

By this point I couldn't get anyone else to take a turn saying something so it was over.

Karen sent me this group shot we posed for next.

Betsy and her guy set the standard by bringing their own picnic plates and utensils (in the cloth bag she's carrying). They also brought a yummy pot of chile and left behind many full bellies at the end.
