Sept 23, 2008 about 4:20. Public
broadcasting's
fund drive's grinding on. I put on David Gray's Babylon... Then I took
and cropped this picture. Argent was a band I liked hearing to on the
radio back in my teenish years. It wasn't until I took Latin that I
learned it used to be a the common word for silver or money. During
that entire period I felt that "Chile" meant "cold" when I heard it.
People had to give me some context before the (south) American country
came to mind. More recently hot sauce or a vegetable has been the first
definition. That's part of the California thing, or so it seems to me.
