January 20th, 2025: Remembering a time when the chaos in our politics was so much more transparently a joke.
August 12th, 2025: Found this coin on the corner of my desk the other day. Think it came from In-n-Out burger run. It was waiting for something interesting to pair with in a picture. It's somewhat amazing they put a Cuban singer on an American coin. The stamp was used to mail me my homeowners association board of directors ballot. I think Katherine Graham was one of those people my Dad thought highly of.
August 30th, 2025: The power summary is from today's mail. Even though I use less power than I did last year, the "Efficient homes" bar has been raised, so I'm no longer in the top category. Still use less power than the average bear in a similar home though. The quarter was recently used to buy a MEND YOUR FUELISH WAYS sticker from me. Picked that one to show because I like the jumble of old and new on it.
Sept. 6th, 2025: Found this coin in my change when I got Asian Box for supper last evening. Dr. Mary Edwards Walker got her Medal Of Honor for service as a surgeon in the Civil War. According to Wikipedia "She is the only woman to receive the Medal of Honor."
Oct. 4th, 2025: Feeling like my power meter is going backwards. Don't remember a negative generation charge before. The reason it's so low is I got a "Summer bill reduction credit." Don't know why they did that, but I'm not complaining. Maybe it's because I used no power when they asked us to cut back. Maybe it's because cap and trade money got used because it's clean energy. Hope it's not financial gimickery that I gotta pay more for later.
Nov. 27th, 2025: Page excerpt from Ballot Access News, December 2025 issue, page 6. Shout out to Pennsylvania and Connecticut! Thankful the Green Party is still doing something.
