The first part of the trail I walked was shared by many people, not all of them pedestrians.



Clearly the water level in the lake is much higher than it was last summer. Click here to see those pictures.

     

About this time a fire truck and an ambulance zoomed by with blinking lights and sirens blaring.

  

There was still water going into the lake, but not much. Later I found out from the people that went to the tunnel that tributary is dry already.

  

     

I wasn't on the trail long before I passed the emergency equipment, parked at a campsite. Later Gabrielle told me that the problem had been some kid had been massively stung by bees. I don't know what he did, I wasn't troubled by them.
