Got there while people were still lining up to get in. Greeted a couple of people on the way to my spot in line. Seats were still available so I got in just fine.
Took that picture soon after I found a seat. The close in seats were for gold wristbands. I bought in at the green level. At the time it was easy to take good pictures. Didn't think about what happens when they lower the lights.
Sip Club did three songs. The singer said "Butch Ware heard us last fall and liked it. Asked us to perform tonight so here we are."
The invocations were next. Couldn't tell you the name of the guy in the "From the river to the sea." sweater. Shylah Ray is the one in the long green coat. Couldn't tell you what either of them said, but was left with a "that's spiritual" feeling by both of them.
The MC for the evening talked about how the Democrats had herded every liberal the believed in the system into the Bernie Sanders campaign, and then had pulled shady tactics to give that nomination to a corporate sleeze candidate. He was here because he wasn't falling for that one again.
Fernando Deveras said he'd googled Butch Ware in the Epstein Files. Same with all of his family and close relations. They are all not in the Epstein files.
Angelica Ross talked about her background in entertainment and on the streets. She's been busy for a long time. Then she talked about her new project, N.O.W.: No Opportunity Wasted.
Lauren Jauregui moderated a panel discussion.
Then it was time for the headliner to sing. The MC introduced Roger Waters of Pink Floyd fame without further ado.
They did three songs, the first two of which were new to me. The last was a group sing along of all of us doing "Wish You Were Here." We were all on our feet by the end.
After Roger Waters sang it was time for Butch Ware to give his stump speech. Click his picture above to find out more.
