We only stopped one time in South
Carolina. That was at this rest stop where they just happened to
have South Carolina's version of the Vietnam Wall, a nice meadow
and some bathrooms. We spent a few minutes browsing the place
after answering natures call.
Grace and I took turns behind the
camera so everybody was part of the pictures. I'm wearing the new
pair of shorts I'd bought just a few hours earlier at that outlet
mall we passed in eastern Georgia. They were MUCH cooler than my
jeans. In the southern summer heat and humidity that was a welcome
change!
None of the names jumped out as
familiar to me, but it was sobering how many of them there were.
Anyhow, it was a fun place to play
despite the memorial. I can still outrun Katie in a foot race,
even though her footwear is way more awesome than mine.
