Getting to the State Capitol was a very uphill experience.

Like that artificial cloud behind the statue? It made the guy statued seem so much larger than life!

The top of the highest hill in town is the State Capitol.

Chilly air and beautiful naturally lit white marble. Not much sound.

If a tour was going around we'd hear lots of framing information on these statues. Alas, it was not to be. All there was to hear were hushed conversations echoing like a tiny creek in a cave. Public voices were silent.

Coming out of the Capitol it struck me that we were looking down on everything in Salt Lake City except the top floors of the sky scrapers.

The state seal features a beehive. There it was. I was moving in to get closeups of the bugs when my battery died. That ended the picture taking in the State Capitol. Time to get back to Virginia.
