When this woman wandered into camp she had a broken bicycle chain. She needed help getting it fixed. It wasn't long before I was helping her with it. Some time later the problem was solved. She came back the next day and we talked a bit then. She is working on a Ph.D. in math in Arizona or something like that. After that I went looking her, but I never found her again. Oh well....

The camp across the street from us was a bowling alley. When I dropped by they made me do a shot of whiskey if I wanted to bowl. I rolled a spare, and then they made me set up the pins for their next visitor. Every now and then they had a good crowd for a while.

When these guys found out that I could take a picture of them and they could download it from this site they wanted a group shot with their fearless leader without him knowing about it. They snuck up behind him, and I snuck into position to snap it. He gave a start and came to about the same time I walked away.

I tried to avoid pulling out my camera when there was a dust storm, but this ant was too good to pass up.

The Tuna Guys seem to always be at Burning Man. This year they were hard to find. There was no signage, but once I found them they were serving all comers big morsels of fresh grilled tuna and pineapple from this grill, elk stew from a huge pot, and strong drinks from another cooler. I was glad to find them, because I'd been hungry for hours at the time.

The guy with the golden bug fixed my bike with some baling wire. The rack had been falling off, and he attached it well enough for the next ice run to work out well.
