Sub Zero is one of those events where you park your bike and then go looking for art.

Some was hard to miss. Some was very subtle.

My favorite sticker experience of the evening was landing that "i vote! * i bike!" on Diane's bike.

Lots of friends were scattered around having a good time in various ways.

There was a band at the end of the street, and they had their fans for sure. I was more interested in the visual culture so I kept moving instead of staying to dance or whatever.

Lots of the galleries on the street had show openings, but for some reason I enjoyed the street scene so much that I never got around to seeing most of those. I just kept running into someone else that I wanted to talk to about something else.

I couldn't really see those belly dancers. I saw the croud gathered and held my camera up as far as my arm would reach and took this picture to see what the fuss was about. They must have been good because they kept peoples attention very well.

There was a booth where they were offering people the opportunity to make panels for the shop window. I took them up on it by making the one on the right.

After that I found this guy doing live charactures in a booth and took a suite of pictures playing with the camera's "art modes". You can see those pictures by clicking here.

I found this T shirt vendor selling these shirts. I asked what the 23 on the "GREEN" shirt was about. He explained that 23 on the Golden State Warriors is a guy named Green. Since they are still alive in the Basketball Playoffs I got the shirt. I told the guy that "The 23rd State in the USA is Maine. The postal abbreviation for Maine is ME. I like to tell people that "The green revolution begins with ME!" " He said that was profound.

The other souveneer I came home with was this poem. It was made up for me by this writer that I should have taken a picture of but didn't. She liked the idea of a revolution where the pun is mightier than the gun.
