It just seems that in
fighting oil wars the crops we produce in our own yards are
battlefields more real than the ones on TV.
Not too long after I
took that picture on the left the squirrels discovered they liked
green tomatos on the vine. They got my whole crop before a woman I met
walking precincts told me "once the squirrels start eating all your
tomatos green just rip out the plants." I wish now I hadn't fed them so
much before I cut off the free lunches.
